Clayton CIP 076 Hops
The exciting new kid on the block. CIP 076 is an experimental New Zealand hop from Clayton's innovation program - a cross of Saaz with a secret Kiwi selection - and brewers trialling it have not been quiet about it. Expect intense ripe orange, peach and nectarine, with passionfruit and orange blossom riding underneath. High oil and lower alpha make it a flavour-and-aroma weapon rather than a bittering workhorse, so it shines on the hot side and absolutely sings as a dry hop. Limited release for now, full commercial launch around 2027 - get in early if you can.
Flavour Notes: Ripe orange, peach, nectarine, passionfruit, orange blossom.
Best In: Hazy IPAs, Pale Ales, Pilsners, Pacific Ales.
Style Vibes: Juicy, tropical, properly exciting.
